Tragedy in London

What happened in London today is sickening. Infuriating. Disgusting. We must ask ourselves, why? Why is this happening? Why are we no safer today than we were before 9/11/01? This is my favorite city on the planet, and I feel violated. I am outraged that this could happen as a result of gross incompetence on the part of the current Bush regime.

euroholic, the one thing I keep thinking is that nobody seems to be talking about what is the real motivation of both sides. W. and his folks benefit from these attacks, and bin Laden himself said that his goal is to bait industrialized countries into bankruptcy, and he is well on his way to taking the US out in that regard. I think it is altogether possible that incident was not just a mistake, particularly given what we know about what Rove did in the Valerie Plame scandal.
