I really want to visit Auschwitz. Everyone thinks I am totally morbid for saying that, but it's a piece of history.

I am really jealous of this whole trip you are on, and that it's your second big European one in a year!

I wish I had someone with me on this trip. I am enjoying it, and I don't mind traveling alone, but I would rather have someone to share it with, someone to talk to, someone to have dinner with. I am used to eating dinner alone but it gets to be a drag sometimes.

I felt the same way about Auschwitz. People looked at me like I was crazy for wanting to go, but I felt like I had to. I was somewhat disappointed that they did not mention anything about homosexuals being victimized, along with the litany of other groups that were murdered here. Maybe they were at another camp? It reminds me of the indignation of the Jews when the Communist Polish government first opened the museum there in 1947, they mentioned that it was a camp for Polish prisoners, but made no mention of them being Jewish.

Yeah, I understand the traveling alone part. I've never done it before, but I think I might have to for the first time this fall because no one I know can or wants to. So, I'm thinking of just going back to London because I know it. But I haven't decided just yet.
