Sometimes this place is so weird for me. I've been coming here since I was 13. I've only missed 3 summers in that time. Like the place is part of me, I feel like i'm part of it, in its walls... it's weird ( Read more... )

Yeah, I want to glom onto you like Velcro, 'cause no one tells me what to do here, so I just make it up as I go along.

So far? So good? *winsome grin*

Well, regarde mes jolis tetons has become regarde mes jolis <3 <3, with the images in question turned into hearts as well. The... erm... couilles, sont devenus un grand chenille... Quoi d'autre... Some other questionable ones have had a fridge put in front of them. Other than that it's pretty presentable, though. And former beaux-arts is now the cage... Tiny, but not like we ever used all the space in the cage anyways. Also, those sketchy sketchy futons are still down there. Eugh. Unsettling. :) I hope you're doing well, Felix!

I didn't understand a lot of this post, but it was beautiful and beautifully written...and in many ways speaks to some of the things I'm feeling as I traipse around Berkeley and San Francisco.

But Le Tektonik....

That is not flailing. It is very specific, very intentional, and HIGHLY skilled. Most of the dudes in the first clip impressed the hell out of me, and the girl in white wasn't too bad. It looks to me like they're doing very specific rhythmic movements, isolating particular muscles and joints, and combining fluidity and rigidity in a deliberate manner. There is a form to this. Man. Maybe I'll dump this internet thing and study this dance craze. Or better yet, I'll just incorporate it the next time I choreograph. Try teaching THAT to a ballerina.

Sorry. Amazing dance makes me foam at the mouth.
