I played the demo of Plants vs Zombies and it's really fun, but the demo ends while the game is still pretty easy. Basically zombies are invading and you plant plants in your garden to defend against them. It's a really funny game. Ah the Internet. I ran across a reference to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies being on the Amazon best seller list. It's pretty much what it sounds like: the story of Pride and Prejudice except the dead are rising too. I may have to find a copy of this book. I put more RAM in my laptop today. It's at 2G from the 512Mb it used to have. Damn does that make a difference. I guess gulliver has a bit of life left in him after all.

Wow I never post anymore do I? Anyway, I made a series of animated desktops and I think I really outdid myself with the last one. (Linux only for now, though I'm considering porting them to Windows if anyone really wants them). Pics under the cut.

Apparently our cat fell out the window this morning. Most likely she was trying to climb the window screen and it fell, taking her with it. She was completely okay though after Stef found her and brought her back in, which is pretty amazing considering there isn't anything but a straight drop to the ground from that window. I finished grading last week's labs today, and the very last question I graded disturbed me greatly. (Some, but not all, of what follows is geeky, so bear with me.)
