*flails around* Oh damn, how did I miss this?? It is a good thing that I have the habit of stalking your journal to check for updates though.
I am so glad that you decided to do this song after all. I don't know what it is about this track, but it just draws you in. My housemate and I giggled that it would be great to strip to or something cause it just sounded raunchy and in a way I guess we picked right.
As I've said before, I love your translations. I think you manage to capture them in a way that... well, it sounds like that is exactly what Gara is trying to say. A lot of others that I read seem sort of forced, especially with sentence structure and uncommon expressions. But this was perfect.
A truly beautiful song and a wonderful translation.
Cheers, hon, and thanks once again for taking the time.
This comment of yours just made my day. Seriously. It's so rare that I receive feedback like that. Be it either because people don't care or because they don't dare to leave a comment. Whatever, I am thankful and glad that at least some people appreciate my work. And it's people like you that I translate for. Actually, this translation is dedicated to you.
Thanks so much!
(Oh, and I just read your post about the floods in your area. That's awful. I'm glad that at least your room did not get flooded and that your belongings were not destroyed. And - most of all - that you have not been harmed. I hope you'll get to fix and clean everything soon.)
Ok, so this comment is coming out of nowhere, but I always find myself coming back to this blog and your translations, and, in particular, this song.
I also have a favour to ask. I've been working on a fic since coming back from an amazing trip back to Japan, and this song really sums up the feel of it. So, I was wondering if you would mind if I used your English translations of the lyrics as an italic sort of summary during the course of it? I've seen other translations of this song now, but yours are the best and just read perfectly. Full credits for the work directed towards you, of course.
Hello! Well, I've been searching for Merry lyrics since a couple of months but always find a lil bit them, and after randomly search on sites like Google XD I find you page and now I'm a very very happy person! So, thank you for your hard work! I look the other lyrics since them are all from 'under-world' but I'm posting on one of my favourit songs. Sure you made my day! Thank you very MUCH! And, sorry my bad english!
