OKAY. I'm still at school, but mooching off Library internet.

I ADORED THAT FIC SO MUCH. The way Daken seems to have some level of affection for Laura, how bored he must be when he's "doing good", the interaction with Johnny Storm XDDD
AND DAKEN COOKING. WE ALL KNOW THAT.

And Laura. You nailed her. I adore the way you wrote in her little problems and Daken's oddly brotherly ways with her.

I just can't imagine Daken ever "doing good." Even if he gets "redeemed"* somewhere down the road, I think he'll still only do good things if he can benefit from it in some way. I think he'd basically be a not-nice guy who simply doesn't do a lot of harm anymore. And I actually think that would be an interesting turn for his character to take. He wouldn't simply be Wolverine, who does good things out of this need to atone. He'd be like Vic Mackey--doing awesome shit for not-so-admirable reasons. That's the kind of Daken I'd eventually like to see--still sort of a rotten sybarite who's a little bit more complicated on the inside.

Oh well, I can dream.
