we've been preparing for Ashmore's next strike. all the possible ground entrances have been blocked off except for the main one. there's people armed with crossbows stationed on the roof as lookouts and we've been taking shifts to make sure they don't get the jump on us again. i'm more hopeful about this whole mess than i was when i spoke to Evan,

*sighs, walking by the high school, pondering what to do with this situation*

*holds her stomach as it rumbles* Yes, I bloody know. Rats go runnin' and the cats go hungry is how it is. Wonder if that bar is still open? *stops and rolls her eyes at herself* Probably would've been good to check, eh?

*notices movement on the street and raises her crossbow*

*looks closer and recognizes the person below, holds her hand up to the others with and says she'll be right back, leaving her crossbow*

*shudders and shifts into bat form, flutters down and shifts back*

Kat? it is you! i'd thought maybe you'd left, i hadn't seen you at all since i've been back.

*smiles* Hungry and recently insane. Gettin' better. Nice to see a friendly face what with all the stake happy troops out and about. How are you? What are you doing back in Sunnydale...is the rest of the family with you?

and long story short? i came back to find out if anyone here knew why me and the rest of the family were suddenly souless, they all stayed back in Europe, and the stake happy troops are now all stationed in the school.

oh, and i can probably help you out with food if you don't mind bagging it until this apocalypse is over. unfortunately, i'm not allowed to eat the people i'm helping but Ralph's in the school and he brought some blood.

yeah, we still have the house here and the ones over there, but i'm sure you're right that he'd rather have me souled. he might be ok with it, Drac doesn't care that Harm's souless.

well, i came back from LA and Yuffie told me that they'd joined up with the other people left in town to try and stop this Ashmore. we started doing patrols, and last weekend all of us were attacked. they tried to open the hellmouth and let out the ubervamps.

*shrugs*

i guess moving us all to the school so we'd be together and able to guard the hellmouth was the decision everyone came up with.
