As of now, the plan is to hide from the recession and travel abroad for a year. Yep. I logged on to my myspace to see what some friends were up to, and saw that my "status" (which I had set something like 6 months+ ago) said "Eva wishes she could quit work and go to beautiful places." I think that I'll set up a seperate blog. I think I want more features and specifics. Plus, I'd like to design some stuff myself.

I would think that wherever you might find yourself with internet access (pretty much the entire world now) you could make a post, so perhaps you could simply keep us all informed through your live journal account along with photos hosted on flickr. I would LOVE to see the world through your eyes during the trip.

I signed onto LJ after ages and I see this...so crazy! I am so excited for you!!! A friend of mine just returned from traveling around the world on the Peaceboat and we were chatting last night and she told me about Matt!

Thanks for sharing these links! I loved the video & showed to it everyone! Does your friend who traveled have a blog or anything about her trip? I've been eating up all the resources I can!

My friend doesn't have a blog about her experience on the Peaceboat but I had told her about peaceboat after reading another lj friend's experiences here. My friend also told me that one option for traveling on the peaceboat would be as an english instructor. They don't pay you but your trip/meals are free! :) I can ask her to email you if you want to know more.

i started a blog on travellerspoint but to be honest ive only posted twice on there since travelling, keeping LJ and travellerspoint both mantained isnt as easy as i'd hoped also there are better things to be doing then going online :)

Neat icon - where is that?
It'll be a chore I know to do the blog. I think it could really be a useful tool to me, maybe even future work-wise, so I figure it'll be my trade-off for a year off of responsibilities.

Hehe.
I'd love to pack up and go travel.
I'm planning on not going to school next semester and working my ass off, then taking off for 8-15 months all over the world.

Yay! Life will still be there for us when we get back, and I'm looking forward to not stressing myself out work-wise during a huge recession.
