As of now, the plan is to hide from the recession and travel abroad for a year. Yep. I logged on to my myspace to see what some friends were up to, and saw that my "status" (which I had set something like 6 months+ ago) said "Eva wishes she could quit work and go to beautiful places." If you find yourself in London as part of your adventure, my place isn't huge, but you're more then welcome to crash in my flat for a bit...

I would love to go to London. For us it's cost prohibitive, but having a place to stay for a day or two would really help. My mom, I believe, has a friend there, and I may have a cousin. There's always couchsurfing. Thanks for mentioning: I may just be taking you up on your offer! Plus, it would be awesome to see you and hear all about your school experience there!

well, as far as getting here from the continent, the euro star is fairly cheap (a round trip from anywhere in in Belgium to London is £59 it's slightly more if you start in paris...) if book sufficiently far in advance and if you picked up a eurail pass that included the UK and either Belgium or France the eurostar through the chunnel is included. Of course that may still be cost prohibitive but if nothing else, depending on your plans through europe, perhaps a meetup will be possible.
