Heaven

Heaven will be the cessation of existance. The end of struggle. There need not be a reward of bliss and contentment, just the end of existance will suffice. For every moment of existance is tedious. A struggle. A fight to survive and survive well. I will not survive today says a slogen; I will thrive. Thriving or surviving: existance is constant ( Read more... )

You sound like my attitude is contagious.

Hi, Sophia!  LONG time no hear!  I'd ask how you're doing, but I think I just found out.  Are you still taking classes?  You can see for yourself how I've been; I still do LJ obsessively and you have a sparkling-high clearance level.

I hope you're back for a while; my friends-list is as dormant as a tree full of last year's nests.  If I did a friends-cut there'd be practically no one left!

I am doing much the same as always. Ups and downs. I am still doing my classes, though the motivation isn't there anymore, but what I've started I prob must end. And the depression is there no matter what I do, so I may as well continue with this.

How are you?

And the comment on the snowflake, yes exactly, being a unique snowflake.... big deal, blah. The apathy still continues in my case.

Mainly, I'm grinding and wailing over my physical age, mainly, what it is.  I tried to go this year to the Big Science Fiction Convention that I should have started going to twenty-five years ago…  and turned around and went back home.  I don't belong there.    / o/

On top of that, I've met not one but two wonderful girls - and I'm two and a half times their ages, give or take.  I wasn't, once.  I remember.

Some times I just want to pound my head into the wall - except that would hurt, y' know?

Otherwise, well, I'm still trying to get some writing done - but not trying very hard.  / o/

So yah, depression, how d' ye do.

But look, if you want to talk…  I do recall your, um, formative situation, so you know that I know what you're talking about.  You do have such an ozone-layer-high clearance because we've shared some of that darkness in our souls, the black mud of ancient anger in mine and the unfillable hole in yours.  So if you need to vent or to be understood, I'm right here.  Okay?  Okay.

Formative situation...

I have something to tell you actually. The bastards gone to prison...
However a 59 year sentence was laughably reduced through policies, legislation "concurrent sentencing" to four years! Yep four years. The ruining of a whole life and he gets 4 years. The news is fresh, I'm feeling bitter. But bitter is at least feeling, which some would say is an improvement on no feeling.

You should have gone. I think if you could hold of the nostalgia for a few hours you'd have enjoyed it. At least one in your life. You may as well. Unfortunately you won't be getting any younger :(

Try next year please. You could go in costume so noone knows how old you are, if you are feeling self concious.

Keep writing and the most motivating writing is the self indulgent kind ;)

In other news, classes start back up tomorrow, which is basically a non stop class/work schedule till Dec for me. So I don't think I will be here much again.

“Time is just another dimension.

“Why should the idea that your life is going to be limited in time (you won't exist forever) be any more worrying than the idea that your life is going to be limited in space (you don't exist everywhere)?”

Not surprisingly, the increasingly encyclopedic TV Tropes has got you covered.

Quoted from an entry;

We're told that every snowflake is unique, yet they all melt into simple water and evaporate…

A snowflake is formed when the temperature drops below 32 degrees        Fahrenheit, and the water vapor in the cloud crystallizes into ice. The ( ... )
