Part of my family back there [not sure which part exactly] called my uncle in the middle of the morning and then called my mother, then she later told me. I hope everything works out in the end.

I hope that if you have family there that they are ok. It's really heartwrenching to see such a marvelous place in chaos. Yogya was so peaceful and gorgeous, I wish you could have experienced it.

I signed onto AIM and the window that pops up to show news and things I usually ignore and close before it loads, showed this about Indonesia. I immediately thought of you and Durga. So I came here to check to see if you knew.

This is truly unfortunate, and they certainly have my prayers and love. I don't know how life is there and how the culture or political situation is there. However, I hope that all the areas and people that suffered will come back stronger and better than ever. Strenghtened, rebuilt, reborn and renewed. And after reading about the destruction and the people who have passed. The healing and rebuilding will take years. I pray that the healing of the people comes sooner, physically to those injured and emotionally for those who were injured and those who lost their loved ones.

Take care eveghost and God bless.

Durga's family and friends are ok. Some have damaged houses as well. I'm really glad that your relatives are ok. It's such a beautiful city, I love Yogya. I really wish that I could go there to help.
We get earthquakes all the time here in California too. They're saying we're long time overdue for a big one.
I hope your family recovers, sweetie. ::hugs::
