You know what I've realized so far this year? That no matter how good things get, no matter how many things go my way, there's always shit to deal with. I'm never gonna be happy about everything all at once. I have to deal with crap and to do that without losing my mind I need to keep thinking of all the things that are going well. That's the key. Yesterday was the first day back on the water. Fucking cold. Probably about 15 F. Everything was covered in ice - docks, oars, riggers, people. Today was worse. I had an erg workout - actually happy about that - but when the boats came in they were just caked in ice. And most of the boys were covered in it.
