The Dreamers; a very poignant film about a French brother and sister in an intimate relationship who befriend a visiting American boy. Idealist, but the bliss is short lived. On a red-bricked courtyard of some neglected council estate, the sun shone without mercy and a small wind blew caresses through the hanging baskets and grasses. 3 months of gestation had produced, unfathomably, my pregnancy. Lynch couldn't paint it in more surreal colours. Michael Bay would revel in the spectacle. A pastoral scene, hedgerows and sunsets. House on the hill, manor-esq and presiding over. Here with a group. A couple of things trouble me about Basterds. Firstly, that I don't think one can legitimately use Nazi's as a satirical self-knowing image of evil, a rationale-less Other.. It's become cliched and a bit boring..

My beautiful siamese cat Biscuit was put down this evening after weeks of vet's attempting to stave off her cancer.
We got her from a rescue home two years ago. She had been abused. Kicked and starved. In her first six months with us, she was timid, scared of everything. Hiding underneath sofas. But she grew to love us, to feel comfort and at home ( Read more... )
