The real estate broker gave me a ring a few days ago, and the whole thing is just one signature short of ready. I got a job. Hell yeah!
A few days ago the head nurse asked if I had any plans for the summer, and offered a vacancy when I said that I didn't. It's at least two weeks, but she predicted that it'd stretch to five at least. It's basic nursing, the stuff that we students can do after the first job placement.

Now's the time of the year when every Nursing student in the country is playing king of the hill. It means that the time to reserve job-placements for the next autumn is at hand, and everybody's fighting tooth and nail to get one. Seems like I've fallen out of the competition though. Managed to make myself look real smart today.
At the dojo me and this other guy were changing in the dressing room after the training, and that's when I heard him humming this song that was strangely familiar. Thought I recognised it and said:

Last week in the healthcare center went well, if I say so myself.
Now, I can't give all the details (thank the patient information protection laws for that), but it's safe to say that what we did was rather basic. Next week we'll finally get to do some real work. It's the whole week in the health-care centre, the whole class, except for who people who already have this covered with previous working experience.

Actually me and a lot of other students spent the most of the day at the shopping mall exhibition, promoting the University. There was all kinds of stuff, candy, fliers, other little giveaways, childcare corner, games, first aid presentation (with a computer-controlled simulation doll) and stuff ( Read more... ) -
Blast from the past
Ugh. Been a bit under the wind lately. Got a running nose and a sore throat, and maybe some fever at some point, but the damn flu just doesn't seem to be able to make up it's mind on whether to strike or not. Stupid viruses.
