I guess they didn't ask me when they wrote the Constitution, but I find it inappropriate for someone who isn't a member of the Supreme Court to assume the position of Chief Justice...while those that have been members for decades don't.

It is bullshit. It must be nice to get hired as the “top dog”. I would be more pissed, but at least Roberts appears to be more “liberal or less conservative” than Rehnquist was.
