So I said that I want to post about our new neighbourhood.  Yeah, well, we live in the ghetto.  A few nights ago, our neighbour's garage doors got "tagged". (That means someone spray painted graffiti on them, for you people who don't know our ghetto terms.)

I've decided I would like to buy the Magna Carta that will be auctioned this fall by Sotheby's.  I think it would look great in the bear's office.  Now I need to get my hands on $30 million before December.  Hmmmm . . .

One day I want to post about my new house and neighbourhood, but I never have time because every day I have unpacking goals that keep me busy for fourteen hours.

I love living in a house.  Evie is back with us and doing great.  Times are busy, financially stressful, but good right now.  I am finally 100% over the awful morning sickness of my first ( Read more... )

I really hate packing.

Have I said that before?

When I lie very still and relaxed on my left side, I can feel the faint movements of my second child already.

I think I've survived what will henceforth be known as Meltdown Friday.  Anyway, the dude's in bed (but not yet asleep because I hear him talking to his friends) and I'm still breathing (although you might not want to have to be in the same room with me), so that counts as survival in my books.

I need decorating advice, please.  The dude's new room is going to be cowboy themed.  I am making him a bedspread out of the fabric pictured below, with a red trim fabric with small line drawings of things like horseshoes, wagons, and saddles.  What colour should we paint his walls?  His room is about 10x10, with two regular sized windows on one ( Read more... )

I just cleaned the apartment using different combinations of warm water, vinegar, baking soda, and salt.  Everything looks and smells fresh and clean (although I don't know if these cleaners killed the same percentage of little germies as Lysol would have), but the thing that I love about it is that I don't feel gross after cleaning the house!  ( Read more... )
