Dear NY State-- aren't we past the point of discrimination? Really? You might not agree with how people live their lives, but it doesn't give you the right to tell them they cannot get married. I'm so sick of seeing posts like these. (not seeing people post about them, but seeing that they exist to be posted about) It seems like every few weeks some other state is being an asshole over basic human rights..... drives me insane.

Actually that's not true here. Our governor wasn't elected into office. When Spitzer stepped down after his sex scandal Paterson stepped in without election. Though he's the one who proposed the bill he's screwed things up SO bad here in NY that he doesn't have anyone on his side. This could've done wonders for our state financially but they threw it away ( ... )
