Trick or treating is done for this year! The kids were cute, patiently explaining that A. I was a witch, despite the lack of a hat or pointy boots. B. the cauldron did not have real fire. C. their mom made them wear a coat, but they really were spiderman/fairy princess/transformer, etc. etc. Much fun was had.

We went to Watchmen yesterday. I liked it, not loved, because it is not inherently a lovable story. You walk away feeling a bit icky and ineffective about you know, everything. Not that this makes it a bad film or story, honestly it is a very interesting story. But I think I need happier things today to make up for it.
