I had a lovely fall day today. We went up the Parkway and had a nice five mile hike with the dog (White Rock Falls loop hike) and then had barbecue in Nellysford. Went out of town this weekend and had a lovely time visiting my friend Kristen and her new husband Charles. A good time was had, much food was consumed, cats were played with, etc. Too short, though. Today, I am grateful for skinks, co-workers who understand, yoga, my dog, my boy, and cherries.

And I am grateful that the pit bull on the corner is exceedingly friendly.

I haven't really posted in my main journal in a while. Nothing major has happened, really. I learned this morning that I'm pretty much over my fear of strange dogs, as I had a pit bull come charging at Axel and I and I felt no fear.
