so when i got to work today a new-ish manager was laughing and she told me it was because she told the cops that had shown up looking for my car that no one would drive a car like mine to deliver pizza that it was to expensive

If they are looking for your car and the male driver then why not either call them or drop by the station at a point when you have the time instead of waiting for them to find you while you are, say, working?

If they want him instead of you, at this point is there anything to fear about finding out why?
