It's the Jewish holiday season. As much as I have moved on from L, there are things that bring her back to mind. Movies . . .

First, Silent House. They used shaky cam to make it look like the film was done in one take. By the way, I'm not all that impressed with "making it look like the film is done in one take". "The Crystal" came in second place at PACTFest. The actor won an award for best actor, and the play received an award for special effects and lighting. This is all really good, considering that it was a play I just kinda' "threw together". It's going on to the next level, ESTAFest, which will be held in April ( Read more... )

Friday, we had an encore show of "Vampe". Word of mouth has been very good, and we had a good sized crowd. The problem is that our performance had gotten sloppy. I was noticing people were forgetting lines and the like. We needed to meet for a line-through during the week. A few weeks ago, Marsha, a woman I knew because she directed "Shakespeare in the Trailer park" last spring, directed my play "The Crystal".
