I understand everything you said and I can relate with a great deal of it even though I have a much different past. There isn't a week that goes by that I don't think of Matt at least once and wonder what he'd be like today if he hadn't committed suicide 18 years ago. I had a lot of passion with Carroll and did love him but I learned a lot about what I wasn't willing to accept; we brought out the worst in eachother and that is never good. My love for my husband is different, but in so many ways it is so much better - much purer. Love is truly complicated, though. It would be nice if we could have everything all in one person, but it never works that way.
