Neglected to post that we actually closed on our house. We closed on the 10th, so not quite the 8th like we expected, but at least it's over. Had the home inspection yesterday, and no major problems. Just the usual crap you might expect from a house that hasn't been cleaned or maintained for the past three years. Like the furnace filter. Finally!!! We just got the call today that the contract on our new house has been accepted by all parties. Closing is set for Oct. 8. And it was only 5 months in the making. How ridiculous. But we're happy. Now to start lining up appliances, painters, and new carpet....

This morning I road the train downtown from Zion, IL because gws57, bearsfan76, tania78 and weetoterin and I are camping there this weekend, and have been since Thursday when we went to Great America.
