I returned to work last Friday, but didn't make it through the day. By the middle of Act II Friday night, no sound would come out of my mouth. I went to the doc Saturday and was told that I have some virus that will last two weeks or so and that the cough would stick around for at least 2 weeks after that. Yuck! So I missed the last two

He didn't, and Eric pulled it out nicely by saving what was left of his voice for Don't Look Now, but I would like it to be known that I was headdesking in the lighting booth Saturday night, wailing in a whisper "Just talk the song, Eric, just TALK it, they'll love it!"
And of course Joey never could hit his big notes from day one, and even Sara faltered a couple of times in her Big Number. Closing night even the guy playing Dallas had his voice break at embarrassing parts. About the only main player who didn't change was the woman playing Susan. She was blowing the back wall out every single night; it was nice.
And yes, the ensemble DID sound a bit less full. I noticed your aural absence, anyway.

Friend of mine said once that the best disease is which allows you to watch TV but you're still too sick to go to work:).
