They would outlaw cards made from wood of minscule trees that hadn't even begun to open up their leaf-arteries to the sun. We'd learn about photosynthesis in school, with signed parental permission forms, as tut-tuting mothers call each other about how this is an issue that should be left to the family to discuss at home.
