Yesterday we celebrated the coming of the summer solstice with some serious pool lounging. The sun was nice enough to leave me with a killer sunburn as a souvenir of our chill day. Esther is making aliyah. She's going on a program where she'll do stuff with the Israeli scouts, then work on a kibbutz, then go to the army for 2 years. Then she plans to go to law school in Israel... And let's face it, the girl loves Israel so much that once she's there she's probably not going to want to ever leave.

PS. If I wasn't going to TO this weekend, I would have seen you at Noah's Bar Mitzvah!

It's all very recent. She found out that she had to go now (instead of next year like she planned) to go on the program she wants, and that was it, she's leaving on July 12! I'm ecstatic for her, but Guelph won't be the same without the girl.

It never fails! I've explained JG to non-Jewish friends, and then they have proceeded to find connections between other Jews they know and me!

Babe I work 11-7 on Thurs, so no cottage for me I guess. Plus I leave for Winnipeg @ 6 AM on Fri. Yehaw!
