How about 'gniffed'?

Or would you prefer a word someone other than me would be comfortable pronouncing on a day to day basis?

(Though I can do worse than that. You know I can. You know it so knowingly.)

...'Gniffed' is enough for me (although I read it 'niff'd' or 'niff-ed', so it's not too much with the unpronounceability). But right now I'm still going with 'smulk'. xD

A remarkably smug kind of skulking. Which is sort of what the briefcase game inspires in one. Ahaha.

I'm not sure about a verb, but I have an adjective: "subspicious"

subspicious
adj. intentionally suspicious-looking

n. subspiciousness, adv. subspiciously

'Subspicious' does have a nice ring to it... although maybe it ought to be 'superspicious'. Going above and beyond the call of spicious, and all that.

i was thinking "sub" because it's underhandedly suspect.

Also true. Spiciousing about underneath the radar.

Whatever comes of this, I think I'm going to end up gratuitously using the word 'spicious.'
