Times are tough in the U.S.
Steve and Barry's, the retail home of Sarah Jessica Parker's discount clothing line, Bitten, is going bankrupt.
The retailer has 200 stores but is having trouble paying the bills and is considering bankruptcy and liquidation.
The L.A. Times is cutting 250 jobs, including 150 positions in the print and online news divisions.
