Arthur is the biggest douche ever. So the bond is reciprocal and that changes everything?!? So Arthur can now justify Merlin's action because Merlin suffers in the same way that Arthur suffers. What about the fact that Merlin SAVED Arthur over and over and over again??? What about the fact that they were friends?? What about the fact that you shouldn't even consider locking someone up in the dungeon for the rest of their life, because it's plain inhumane and plain cruel?!?
God, I know they are fictional characters, but I just really want to smack Arthur and tell him that Camelot has lost their oh-so-honourable king the day he betrayed his most faithful servant and friend for nothing more than pride.
...Regardless, I'm gonna have to read the rest of it, to ensure that Merlin does get a happy ending... And if Arthur gets to be part of it, well, he should take the stick out of his arse and try thinking a little more about his choices
I don't understand why Merlin is considering forgiving Arthur at this juncture. Or why the fact that Merlin feels Arthur makes Arthur repentant. It would make sense if he knew how much Merlin has done to save him, so many times, but your Arthur remains unaware and ungrateful and so far, undeserving of forgiveness. I am confused.
