reading speed through folk literature project

can you help me with my project? all you have to do is read these two text structures while timing yourself, and then commenting to me how long it takes you for each structure. i need the information as soon as possible ! thank you ( Read more... )

they each took less than a minute, though the first one felt like it took longer without the rhyme scheme to make it flow.

whoops, i posted my times, but didn't comment. anyhow:

the first one took longer to recite because of the structure. both 1 and 2 have numerous clauses separated by commas, but the second was easier to read simply because the stacked structure made it easier to keep a rhythmic pace.
