Madarame ventured inside of the dining cart with his laptop, ready to set it up in there for a better reception. It was late already, so he had expected to be there by himself. To his surprise, he found a beautiful woman already there. Something about her gave off an aura of mystery. Judging by her demeanor, he could tell that something was greatly bothering her.
It was his job to ease her pain, he thought. That's what a true gentleman did. ...That's what most anime had taught him anyway. "Y-you...look troubled..." His voice sounded more nervous than he wanted it to.
At the sound of the voice, Shepard turns to survey its owner; a scrawny, dark haired-man holding what appears to be some sort of electronic device. A second glance confirms what she suspected before--it's obviously some sort of remedial computer.
The man's nervousness is highly palatable, and the ends of her lips twist into a half-smile, hoping to put the otaku's mind at ease. "I'm fine," she reassures him. "I can't think of many people who wouldn't be troubled by our current situation."
A breath, and then: "Commander Shepard of the SSV Normandy." She doesn't know why she still bothers with titles; judging from his current attire, he likely wouldn't be at all familiar with her, or the name of her ship. Still, old habits are hard to break. "I just arrived here a few days ago."
He hoped he didn't strike her as seeming suspicious... There were already enough people around who questioned whether he was on their side or not. Scratching the side of his neck, he glanced over at her. "Commander Shepard, I see. You must be from some military intelligence organization, right?" Usually, people with rankings came from shooting games, though that didn't mean she necessarily came from one.

Harunobu certainly didn't appear to be military, though Shepard knew from experience that appearances could be deceiving.
