Oh, and Bianca Manalo actually admitted that she had surgery done in preparation for the pageant. But yeah, honestly, I can't see the pageant's purpose. Sure, they keep yakking about women empowerment and shiz but, come on, sino niloko nila.

The matter of Semenya pissed me off though, and according to one of her relatives it isn't the first time something like this has happened. Yes, the South Africans call her beautiful (and I see where they're coming from), but also a lot of her hometown people mistook her for a guy growing up. It's not just the looks, but she's said to have a very masculine voice, even in her country's perspective.
Still, she looks woman enough to me and it sounds like a bunch of countries are being asses just because she won.
...And that was my own rant.

Otherwise, why bother with the nationality thing unless it's a means to garner spectators from all over the world. So people can go, "my country has hotter chicks than yours ( ... )
