The innocence of this gently touches a long-forgotten, nameless heartache. So, so beautiful. Do you have another site or a place that is publishing your poems?
Do you choose to not submit your work or just haven't for some other reason? The easiest place on earth to get started is thebooktimes.com They are very welcoming and several of my LJ friends submit stuff there.
i got a very different sense from the piece this time (perhaps closer to your 'intent' - perhaps not...) a feeling of self pursuit somehow, of reaching for a self stolen into the world.
To add to my confessions of the day, when I first started writing this -- the first stanza--I was going for a completely different direction and then the words took over and led me where they needed to go. I seldom have a whole plan when I'm creating. I never know the end(ing) until I get there.
Thank you for re-reading. I like doing that with other people's work too.
