what does the term 'hook up' mean to people our age? the term gets thrown around a lot, but im not sure of the connotation. does one assume sex or is the interpretation left up in the air?

so then the fedex guy comes in. conversation as follows:

me: you're a troublemaker.
him: well, you are (sexy).
me: it's a good thing you are my fedex boyfriend.

then he walked by a few minutes later and banged on the window.

i just stepped outside to check the weather cause it looks like it's going to rain. fedex guy is driving down the street and he stops right in front of me. he looks at me from his truck and says you're really sexy, you know that? he smiles and drives away. i hate him.
