I had my first appointment with Dr. Nash in months this evening and found it to be relatively negative in nature. After having to re-inform him as to the location, duration, and extent of my pain, as well as the fact that my menstrual cycle has been off kilter since April, I endured the worst gynecological examination of my life. I've got my fingers crossed things start going better for you. Did they already rule out your birth control being the culprit?

I started the birth control in effort to minimize pain and regulate my cycle. *shrugs*

The great thing about the BC I am finishing with is that it cleared up my skin amazingly. :) And it did tweak my flow in a more positive direction, comparably speaking. ... I just wish I didn't have to switch to one that has so many negative reviews. *sigh*

what kind is it? I need to look into something and I'm afraid of all of them. I don't necessarily trust a pill controlling my hormones, but IUDs and all the other ones make me nervous too. Any insight would be wonderful.

Is it all that important? I mean it's covering up the symptoms, not actually treating them, right? I say if the negative consequences of your new birth control are that much of a deterrent, then don't take it. It's not doing anything for your pain.
