How do you make yourself stop caring about something? It's so hard!!

For those of you who requested it, here's my eggnog recipe:

3 eggs
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup spiced rum (I only use Appleton Estate)
1/2 cup brandy
2 cups milk
2 cups ice cream
1 tsp cinnamon (or to your taste; I like a fair bit)
fresh nutmeg to garnish
