The cause of war is people wanting to boss other people around at any price.

I recently got another job offer. Man it was a tough choice! Option one was working for a small mum and dad business which offered really good incentives such as higher pay, use of the school car and oportunity to work at university level in the future. Offer two was to work at a big company and have access to more resources and better security ( Read more... )

Having recently found a half decent job, for the moment at least it looks like I will not need to start my own school.

I hope things work out but I am not naive enought to let things be. From now on I pledge to become fully aware about tax and employment law as well as be super fluent in Japanese. Self-empowerment feels good!

I was feeling very unsatisfied at my current job over the past 8 months. Mostly it was a feeling that I wasn't sure where I was going career-wise so I started applying for other jobs to see what was out there. One of those jobs was with a school in my home town. Home is where the heart is and I guess my heart was never in Australia. Sure I have friends there but I always felt like an outsider. And yes I am an outsider in Japan but for the first time I have a job that I reasonably enjoy and am in a stable loving relationship ( Read more... )
