More sleep, less news
Very little news has happened since the last post. Libby slept badly on Sunday and Monday night; we work her each night at 11:30 to give her a late feed and intended to let her sleep till at least five unless she woke us first, but each night she wouldn't go back down until after the early morning feed. You must all be bored with this by now
The great sleep experiment worked. She slept till we woke her at 0500 and greedily took fourty five minutes on the breast and then 120ml of bottle. And then we all slept until 0900 when we fed her again. Of course last night, when I had to get up early and go to work, it failed miserably. SLEEP! Sleep Now!
I can only assume that last night, after Kat went to bed (at about 2200), an evil hypnotist must have sneeked into our house and put me into a trance-like state causing me to fall asleep and not wake Kat up for the midnight feed. I congratulated myself when I stayed at home on Monday and Tuesday that I'd managed to not get stuck in horrible snowbound traffic. Last night, after talking to Diana, I decided to try minimalising all external stimuli when doing the late feed. So, dark room, no fuss, food. Monday night went no better than Saturday or Sunday, possibly worse. After getting a couple of hours sleep in early Kathryn spent the whole night with Libby so I could try and get some sleep and by the time I was woken up for the last time (Kat'd woken me for help in the night) she was in a bit of a state - Libby hadn't managed to settle all night ( Read more... ) -
Snow Day! Yay!
Kathryn had rather a few problems with Libby last night. Because I was going to work the next morning, Kat took charge of getting Libby down for the night.
