Today we salute the Dixie Chicks

You'd think that the Chicks' music would be noxious punk/industrial/metal filled with hateful obscene lyrics.  Instead it is rather easy on the ears.  I did notice, however, that the Dixie Chicks are wearing all black and a lot of leather in one picture, perhaps in a vain attempt to look scarier.

I agree with you that they can say whatever they want.

And NBC also has the right to broadcast, or not broadcast, whatever it wants. And we have the right to boycott the network and its advertisers.

because why, exactly?
the outfit in the picture below, or the simple fact that they have randomly decided they'll dabble in being a champion of anti-republican angst, long stereotyped as something that 'noxious punk/metal/industrial' types do, apparently with hateful, obscene lyrics?

the seventies punk fan, activist and ashamed-to-know-the-dixie-chicks-started-years-ago-as-a-pop-country-thing in me are all kinds of confused.

i'm not trying to start an argument, i'm just trying to understand what you meant by it. honest
