On Thursday we went over to Caths in the morning, and Alex enjoyed himself on her trampoline while I caught up on the NELLI meeting I'd missed. It didn't sound very interesting! Sam's visit was good. He arrived on the 11:20, we grabbed our bags and clambered on, after Simon had plonked Alex on the train and told him to follow Sam who he hadn't seen in over a year. Sam and I eventually found him chatting to a family in a compartment further down the train! Good parenting there. We headed to Grosmont, and had a nice picnic ( Read more... ) -

Alex is paying me compliments! When someone gave him some bread to feed the ducks, I said she was a nice lady, ad he said, "yes, but not very nice like Mummy", then he told me my new rainbow belt was very pretty. He is doing better then Simon at the moment! -

I have no idea how things are going with Sarah, she did say a few interesting things about relationship steps with Graham vs her ex, and how she opened up to him and he used it all against her when he tried to have her committed in order to keep her house. While Alex was at Ladybirds I had a sorting and fixing clothes day. I got my clothes sorted for 70s weekend, punked up my T shirt and got through the ironing mountain. Not bad! I managed to get my hair dyed, so that was good. Alex watched me "paint" my hair with fascination ( Read more... ) -

Simon came home, and got fish and chips for Alex and himself, then left at 6:40, so I had to put a really wound up Alex to bed. Why he couldn't wait 20 minutes I don't know, but other then that Simon did really well yesterday. I went to bed at 9, and got a full nights sleep. Wednesday, after Ladybirds we had a 2 hour meeting for NELLI. The first half was trying to figure out the map, then another consultancy agency for Joseph Rowntree came to study us! It didn't seem very relevant, but I had to leave pretty soon after they started as Alex did a huge crap and I found I had no spare nappies. Always prepared ( Read more... ) -

The Sunday we got back I noticed one of the wooden slats over a manhole cover was shifting under Alex's weight, so I gingerly put my weight on it and it gave underneath me, causing me to fall through the gap up to my knee. Morecambe Bay holiday
On Saturday we packed up David's car, set up Alex's DVD player and left with a happy boy. We Mum and Dad at Kirby Stephen railway. It was OK, but not running, their was a teenage lad there who was all about railways and he and Alex hit it off. Unfotunately this now means Alex knows all the controls of a diesel! Friday was another stay at home day, due to the appalling weather! We went down to Mums, left Alex there and Simon and I went on a railway meeting.
