So, yesterday afternoon I gave a co-worker a ride home (she lives three blocks away from me) and literally right after she got out of the car, when I was waiting to turn right, there was a three-car crash RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES. I took a more circuitous route to get home. Then, yesterday evening, we needed milk and bread, so I volunteered to go

funny. i live tow blocks down from the blockbuster on homestead. and i never see shit happen in my neighborhood. i think it's a vibe thing, as in the sequence of events you describe. i've also never had any remotely scary experiences happen to me during my time here. no break-ins, no weird people, no muggings, nothing. amanda and i have even left the car unlocked by accident several times, and no one even noticed. odd. and even murphy's law has not snuck up and bit on the ass, for i have made the statement, "nothing's ever happened to me!" boldly and stupidly several billion times, and i have still seen and experienced very little of the crime that disuades people from even visiting our fair city.

The Waverly Blockbuster shooting is big news. Crime is on the downswing around there, and that was a painful reminder that Waverly is still in Baltimore even with the new Giant and Fitness club.
