updating on the precious stuff that comes out of my co-teacher's mouth...last week, she said "leviathan was a kind of sea monster that was REAL. and that's why i believe in dinosaurs." i was confused and upon repeating it to mike later, realized SHE MUST BELIEVE IN A LITERAL INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE. this accounts for all kinds of wrong stuff ( Read more... )

Erm... wait... that's why she believes in dinosaurs? Oooo-kay.

I probably believe in a more literal interpretation of the Bible than you'd expect, but not in a completely, totally, 100% literal interpretation of the Bible.

But your coworker scares me. A lot.

oh dear lord.

i had a coworker at my last job that believed that scientists must have carbon-dating wrong because the world is only 5000 some years old. and she thought dinosaur fossils were put there by god to test our faith. seriously, talking to her was a lot like being on the wrong side of a Bill Hicks bit.

can you tie your co-teacher to a chair and stuff her in a closet?
