i personally don't make resolutions, most of the time when i decide to fix anything in my life the timing is unpredictable.

grapes are a good idea, tasty and refreshing - unlike the black eyed peas and stewed tomatoes. i'd wager grapes are easier on a hangover.

i think its southern, mostly because we never did it in my house and my parents are from the midwest and all the people i know that do it were raised in the south.

oh but those really big round purple grapes are soooo good that the seeds are worth it!

Duno about resolutions because I don't make any, but to follow the grapes we eat black eyed peas on new years day! Part of the tradition is sometimes to eat 365, one for each day, but I just eat a huge bowl and figure it evens out ;) Harris and I just had a bunch earlier today.

black eyed peas eh? interesting. I miss you guys! You DO know i'm forever grateful for letting me live with you all for a few days right? That short amount of time you really made me feel at home, much more so than the entire year I lived on cary street.
