and if you stick it out for the first few months and you still don't feel right, switch pills. i didn't start experiencing problems with my first pill until later in the game and i did some research and found out that the hormone levels in the pills i was taking were like out of control. i went on a lighter pill and all my problems went away and i love my new one. i hear yasmin and othro tricyclen lo give the least problems. good luck! <3

I love the drug. and I love sex. and I hate condoms. haha freal
I've been taking it since mid 8th grade because my body was already very irregular.

It takes 3 months for BC to get on the same track as your body as well as being fully effective. I used to take the pill and now I have the patch. the patch itself to me is the only unattractive part. But oh well. It's more attractive than having to wait till he puts a condom on and then not enjoying it. To be totally honest.

You'll be fine miss!

heyy deanna this is lauren dig. and i happened to see this entry on a friends page when i was bored haha. so i figured i'd help you out. i've been on it for about 2 and a half years. a. happens but it'll go away soon. and i gained a little weight, but not a lot. but i had more good side effects than bad. barely any cramps at all, lighter period, and my skin cleared up and basically never breaks out. hope that helps!

yeah. it takes about 3 months for body to get used to it.
my sex drive drastically decreased and it made me irritable.
it's different for everyone tho.
i never bled or anything crazy like that.

don't have sex without a condom til your body is used to it.
i have a friend that bc doesn't even work on to prevent preg...she's gotten pregnant twice...that's just her but it could happen to anyone...you can never be too safe...think about it

yeah i am 100% irritable because my sex drive [which was very high] has decreased to basically never wanting to have sex. and i feel very bad for my boyfriend who has a matching sex drive as i did before. i feel like i can't even force myself to have sex just for him.
oh and dont worry about that, we are the most baby-paranoid couple you will find. lol

everyone says you gain weight when you get on bc. That is just because the bc (from what i got from my doctor) makes you think youre already pregnant, so you get more hungry so you can feed the "baby". and when you take those placebos during the period week, thats when you have a "miscarriage". Just watch what you eat. IF you eat healthy stuff, youll feel better and look better.

I didn't spot or bleed at all... and my periods arent as heavy and def not as long. I have gotten a lot crankier, but you learn to deal with it.

I know that when I take my pills, I need to make sure I have food in my stomach or else I feel like Im starving to the verge of wanting to just stick an IV in me to get nutrients. I usually end up eating 2 crackers and run to the bathroom to throw up and then pass out on the bathroom floor. <-- worst feeling EVER ( ... )
