I've been really emotional lately. There isn't a rational explanation for any of this, I think, but it's pretty intense. I've been reading a lot more, which is terrific, I've been unsure of my job, which is normal for me, I've been super-affectionate toward my gf, which is also great, but little triggers are setting me off and I'm feeling on the ( Read more... )

I blame and thank food for everything first. Been eating a lot of soy lately? I can't say I'm a fan of feeling irrationally emotional - I seriously hope it's not brain cancer and something much more mundane and managable.

I still get excited about simple things, even if they're not particularly exciting. An espresso, some steel cut oats and toad in the hole for breakfast; grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for lunch; spaghetti and meatballs or a nice stew for dinner. It sounds like you need some comfort food right now anyway! Maybe instead of excitment you should settle for a nice braised shank and potatoes for today.

You know those hot pots with the sticky rice that gets kind of burnt along the stone? That sounds exciting. I want that right now.

I'm looking at a picture of Monica Potter right now and she doesn't look familiar whatsoever. IMDB says she's been doing a lot of television - 13 episodes of some show called "Trust Me" and 21 episodes of Boston Legal.

That sounds like a good plan-- go, get famous, make a bunch of money, and check out while the going is good. I find that preferable to watching your career die a slow death, you age ungracefully on display, and become sort of a sad also-ran unless you are the one in a million (Glenn Close, Meryl Streep) who can actually be an older working actress.
