I had to put one of my cats down today. He passed on at 5:47pm.

I only had him for about two weeks. I rescued him from a friends house when my friend up and moved to BC. The house was, and always has been, kind of gutter punk filthy and apparently the cats never got water enough and were eating shitty food.

The cats always had water, and the food wasn't fucking shitty. If you'd gone to a decent vet, for one they wouldn't have used the word, UTI, and two, both FLUTD (look it up) and kidney infections are easily treated with antibiotics.

Shitty food, and lack of water aren't a "cause". Not in the way you were misinformed.

it wasn't a disease. It was an infection. The vet tested before he told us for sure what it was. He had a Bacterial Urinary Tract Infection caused by the pH in his urine being too low ( ... )

Did you miss the part where I told you I worked in a vet clinic??

I honestly did not want this to end up with us leaving nasty comments for each other.

I'm just super pissed that Eric and I were the one's heaped with the blame. Tom cats are extremely susceptible to these kinds of infections. Hell, I've seen pedigree, primped, coddled, organically fed bitch cats come in with this kind of thing.

I'm tired of playing the blame game. Goat was a wonderful cat, and to be honest, none of us noticed him being sick. The vet you took him to sounded like an ass. It's not my fault, or yours, or anyones.

No one was fully blaming you. Everyone but the two of you was accepting some blame. We all knew we had a part in it. It was how we were feeling. The two of you just fucking jumped and decided we were placing all the fucking blame on you... should have seen it coming really.

It took a while for us to decide that it's not anyone's fault.

Had you taken the tie to listen to EVERYTHING e had to say that day instead of ONLY listening to the parts that made you feel like shit you would have known all of this though.
