Music or the lack there of (and techological advice)

So I've been without an MP3 player for like a month now... And it's driving me crazy... Especially since I don't work at Hard Rock anymore. There at least they had great music and dancing wasn't just condoned it was ENCOURAGED. So even if it was broke I was surrounded by music. Now my current job plays classical music ALL DAY and the highlight is ( Read more... )

I totally agree with you on the iPod bit. On top of that, my computer is already messed up enough. I don't need iTunes barging in and raping my hard drive even further.

Well, which one matters to you more: sound quality or space? I get the feeling it's both hence the issue with coming to a decision? Well, I say get the Zune. While the Zen has better sound quality, what fun is that if you keep having to delete stuff to put more on?

Get some bomb headphones : )

As you know I have an iPod. I never really was all that into it until very recently and now I really love it. I've got the 30 gig iPod, and only until now did I really think that I needed anything more than that and I've had it for like 3 years now. The iPod isn't a bad device, and iTunes is a great service. I don't know anything about the support for Zunes, but you can take an iPod to any apple store and get it fixed or replaced (usually).

If I were you I would go with the higher gigabyte thing, because you never know what you might want to listen to, and that gives you a lot more leeway in terms of content. I use my iPod for audio books even, and that's a GREAT thing.

As far as the back yard goes. I obviously don't care what happens back there. If you want to clear that brush then set up a time when we can clear brush together. I've been wanting to install a patio back there anyway. Maybe we can do that in a couple of weeks.

Ran got me a 16 gb Sansa View some years back and it's awesome, but the interface can piss me off sometimes. Whenever it dies I think I'll switch to a Zune I've heard a lot of good things about it.

There is no reason to ever buy an ipod, they are designed to have a half life of 6-8 months, they want you to buy a new one every year. I know people who are on their 6th ipod, not because they lost it but because it stopped working. I'm on my second .mp3 player, the first one a 4gb Rio still works great and I use it for taking notes during major work meetings.
