I've always been interested in talking to people about their beliefs in the supernatural (ghosts, ufos, etc.) and, since I've never really seen too many posts on my flists about this,

The house I lived in w/my Granny I truly believe had ghosts that roamed it. I have had too many experiences in the 20 some years I lived there (on and off) that I can not believe in them. And, while I know some would say I was probably imagining it, I believe I did see a UFO one night when I was a teenager.

Considering I grew up watching programs such as Unsolved Mysteries and X-Files, along with the fact that I'm severely open minded, I find myself almost physically unable to rule anything out.

Of course, there are somethings I'm more willing to believe in than others. For instance, I could see Big Foot and Loch ness existing but can't say the same for zombies, beyond the kind influenced by voodoo that is.

However, I probably believe in aliens more than anything else since it seems so improbable to me that, in our vast universe, only Earth sustains life, esp. since they've found space bacteria.

As for ghosts, well, I've lived in a few old houses which I suspected were haunted but one of my best friends as well as my roommate in college both have told me convincing enough tales.

I am like the Total Ultimate Skeptic. :) The alien thing - well, it's a big universe, and it could happen. Whether there are any alien civilizations that have the ability to travel to or contact us right now? Hard to say - over four billion years, if a civilization only lasts a few thousand, the odds aren't that good. But I'd like to think that when I look up at the sky at night, someone's looking back. :)
