Three young ladies were at the door - the nearest one dressed as a Hallowe'en-y type of witch.
Me: (responding to silence) Happy Hallowe'en ladies, how are you?
All: Good
Witchy-teen: You look real good
Me: Thank you, and you look like a kindred spirit. Are you all keeping safe on this evening of traveling souls?
All: Yes
Me: (the witchy-girl was holding the screen door open for us all - I kept forgetting that it doesn't stay open on its own) Where are your sacks ladies? Ah there they are. Oh, just a sec (put my hip into holding the door open) What good is all this feminine power if we don't remember to use our hips now and then, eh? *smile*
All: (A chorus of giggles and smiles)
and off they went with their loot of candy.
