Costume

When in doubt, there is always my Priestess-y/Goddess-y costume. Normally I would wear this with moccasins and a head wreath of autumn leaves. But this year I had neither. I also didn't feel like doing the little woad-like spiral over my third eye. So the overall effect turned out a bit more everyday than in years past but it suited the purpose of ( Read more... )

I think so. You could even do a bit of a gentle slope in at the sides to accentuate your waistline a little more. ;)

Thank you. :)

That would have been fun, I can tell you another of the stories though...

The very first little cluster of young people that came to the door were early teens/late tweens like so many were - four of them. When I opened the door, the girl exclaimed 'Oh my God!' (tone of voice was closer to surprised or wow than to valley girl snark). Then the four of them just stood there for a moment silent - from this I realized I might have to do most of the talking to help the candy-gatherers feel less intimidated and more comfortable. *chuckle* So they got the 'What. no ~Trick or Treat!~?' line from me. *impish*

What's with this knapsacks thing instead of sacks for collecting candy anyways? *old fashioned grumble*
